    SARCO Sale

Sarco, the huge used and surplus gun parts clearance house in Pennsylvania, is having a July sale. Friday, July 10, is 1911 sale day. 5 percent off on 1911 parts, plus free shipping with the code "JULY2929" at checkout.

Sarco is always a bit of a grab bag, but they sometimes have surplus GI parts for 1911s, as well as accessories that may not be available elsewhere. Sarco is also one of the companies that bought out all the Para-Ordnance parts when Remington discontinued the ParaUSA operation. In particular, if you have an LDA, Sarco has some kits that include all the springs that are unique to the LDA pistols and that aren't available anywhere else.

It's not just the LDA parts, Sarco also has some Para parts for super-compact models, that are rarer than hens' teeth:

Too many people miss the silver lining because they're expecting gold.
