You can request a copy of any enlistment information from the National Personnel Records Center although at this time services are limited.

I received this from a request about a Great Uncle:

Thanks, what type of information does that include?

I will have to send them a request.

I have tried to contact Mark Bando. No answer yet, but I'll give that some more time.

This page lists Organizations to Which Attached and subsequent assignments. Another lists Medals, Decorations and Citations. Others list a summary of service and information about how to request additional records.

My Great Uncle served with C Co, 508th PIR during WWII and retired at Ft. Bragg in 1963. I remember seeing him once when I was a kid, probably just after he retired and traveling around the country visiting relatives.
