    Checking In

Hi. New guy here, also from the Silver State, the more weathered northern part. I'm not a collector of 1911's unless two counts as a collection, but, I do so enjoy the ones I own. I have a Remington R1 stainless from the Sportsmans sale in 2015 which was my first venture into 45acp. The purchase was definitely influenced by the price($499 less $50 rebate), and I have never had a regret nor failure of any kind and it has been a joy to shoot. The second one arrived a couple weeks ago from a shop in Las Vegas, really nice folks, an as new American Classic 1911 XB. This one is the reason I searched out this Forum. Needed some info and found it here so I figured I had better join up in case I had more questions. So far it shoots as well or better than my Remington and also has been flawless.

Welcome to this 1911 site from Italy.

Anything with a FLGR is fluff, if JMB didn't put it on the 1911 you don't need it.
If you're going to collect be careful not to get drawn to a piece that is not original, make sure it is a very good example and buy the gun not the story.

Welcome to the forum. Glad to hear you're happy and no complaints about your stainless R1. I too have a R1 Carry.

Welcome from the Netherlands. Good shooting to you with your 1911s - I consider 'more than one' a collection (but still a modest one)
