Frame has OG stamp for Ogden Arsenal rebuild. Grips are the original Keyes. There is cosmoline in many areas of the frame/slide. Barrel is new Colt, parkerized. Is this a collectable gun with the replacement slide/barrel? The grips show wear on the right grip only, just like mine had back in the day. If anyone knows when this gun may have been rebuilt, please chime in.
    Thanks
The Army must of had a lot of RR .45s with replacement slides, as I have seen them show up on the CMP fourm site as a field grade or a rack grade..As for me I would be very happy to get one....

Any pistol received from CMP is a fully functional ready for war service pistol held in reserve by the military, as such I cringe when folks start changing and replacing parts to make them original. This is the way they have evolved and I would be content with one. I was given a beautiful 1911a1 the other day, it has mixed parts although both slide and frame are Colt, I have no intention of replacing anything with “correct” parts.
