    AA Refurbished M1911

last couple months I have had a lot of time on my hands and been researching and looking at M1911's on the internet I have came across 4 M1911's AA refurbished they had colt frames and Remington UMC slides some had grips replace some didn't most had a lot of there original parts and were dark parkerized I thought this was kind of strange since the Remington slides were pretty rare, what is your thoughts on this? Thanks

The Augusta Arsenal might have gotten all the spare slides from Remington-UMC.

that is true, one other thing I didn't note in original post was the one's that I saw serial number were from Colt frame from late 1918 and early 1919, might not be nothing too it I just thought it was interesting and sense the slides are a WW1 does that indicate they were refurbished shortly after World War 1 am I safe in saying that?

The Augusta Arsenal closed in 1955 so any rebuilds happened before that time.

Safe to say any original rebuild with later parts happened after those parts introduced. Not safe to say a rebuild with all early parts indicates an early rebuild as any serviceable part reused at any time.
