    New Valor Commander

    Hi all,

I was finally able to pick up my Valor Commander (9mm) and took it out to the range today for a quick shoot (it's been raining). I threw some thin, LOK Spec Ops grips on it as they have a little more traction than the VZs that came on it. Absolutely beautiful pistol. Fit and finish is top notch, the recoil is mild, muzzle flip is minimal, and the sights track straight up and down and return exactly to where they need to return. Put a quick 100 rounds through it with no malfunctions. The only issue was that POA-POI was about 2 inches high at 25'. Contacted Dan Wesson and they are going to replace the front sight with a .180 (where the current one is a .140). I'm definitely a proud new Dan Wesson shooter!

Cool. My buddy just traded for a VBOB in 45. I just picked up a Guardian in 9mm and a Patriot Expert in 45acp. My buddy is chomping at the bit to shoot his VBOB. My two are absolutely fantastic. I was able to sell my Specialist to fund the purchase of both. Glad I did. The guardian is just right for the 9mm and accurate as can be. I can't say enough about the patriot - expert. I am shooting them both again today. Can't wait.

Fantastic! Was your Specialist chambered in 9mm? How did you like your Specialist? What about the Specialist made it expendable?
