I assume the lower price (as Wilsons go) is due at least in part to the coarse grooving being quicker to cut than checkering.
Otherwise, I think they (and everybody else) are looking hard for something to sell. A lot of us have not recovered from the politically driven shopping spree of the previous US administration and the gun market is soft.

That and fewer available “options” by the purchasers, which probably equates to less time to complete per unit.

They are made with Wilson’s “Bullet Proof” parts, so no MIM or other lower grade parts are used. The ACP model quality seemed right up there with the two Wilson 1911’s that I personally own.
