holster for 1911 with vortex red dot

I have a S&W 1911 pc round butt 4 1/4 in barrel and am putting a vortex reflex red dot on it, (getting old eyes) and am looking for a nice OWB and a IWB holster for this. does anyone know of a leather holster maker that makes these (L. Handed). I dislike a IWB kydex it is to "harsh" on the finish. this is my EDC

I don't know enough about optics to know exactly where they ride on the slide since there are so many different ones, but I can't think off the top of my head of any leather IWB holsters with enough clearance for an optic.

Garrett has leather lined kydex with a few OWB models that should work and while their IWB's don't show the capability, he could probably cut one for you.

must be a good sign, I just got an e mail from Wright leather notifying the public of Leather holsters that have the cut out for a optic sight. just go to their web site I believe it is called Closer holster. you can have it made to your gun, L or R handed just measure from the tip of the barrel to the front of your sight and they will make one for you, you can get IWB or OWB . now I guess I will buy a lottery ticket because I feel like I hit the lottery.
