    Bruin anyone?

Considering a DW Bruin as my next purchase. Any owners have food or bad feedback on the Bruin? Havenít decided on 10mm or .45acp yet.

    USNCPO,

I do not own one, but have looked at them over the years at SHOT. I like it. I have other 10's, one's a 6", and would do the Bruin in 10 as well. 10mm is a tremendously versatile cartridge and responds well to longer barrels. Way more potential power than a 45.

Go for it. DW builds very nice guns.

    Thank you for your service.

    Jim

Picked up my Bruin 10mm from my favorite FFL today. Truly a beautiful pistol. Give it a good cleaning and hit the range tomorrow. Didn’t realize until I looked at the DW site that Bruins have been discontinued.

Got one in 10mm back in the fall of 2017. Nice pistol. Sad if it is true they stopped making them. A 6 inch 1911 is a nice place for 10mm.

Looks like mine. According to the DW website the Bruins are discontinued. I believe the Kodiaks are also 6” though.

I can see the Kodiak being better to some folk with the rail and mag well. Also it has a flat recoil spring plug. Also the MSRP has climbed higher. I am happy with my Bruin though.

I do have a couple Wilson mags I tried with the Bruin. First round nosedives every time. I know don’t use them in it. Just wanted to put that info out there. They are with Wilson’s newer follower.

I purchased a 10mm Bruin in December 2017. It's my first long slide and has been an excellent pistol. Hate to hear DW has stopped making them.
