Thread: Para Carry cracked slide

    That's interesting. Were you given a reason for the failure?
    I have a P12.45 also, another favorite. Have shot it a lot.
    There will be a update soon on the Para Carry slide adventure. as of now the adventure is continuing but the end is insight.

    End of adventure!
    Short version is new slide was lost in the mail, Sarco sent another. The new slide has a different black and a front optic holder (light bar).
    All the markings are the same. I assembled the new slide with old components. Everything went well except the rear sight (needed tool & younger eyes) and the old barrel bush.
    Off to my local gunsmith. It took him a few minutes and all ended well. The barrel bush required some filing.
    Next was the range test. Love the light tube. Everything worked as it should.
    The world is good.

    Great news.

    Be careful with that fiber optic tube on the front sight, when you clean the gun. Stuff like brake cleaners, gun scrubbers etc can make it dim in no time. Fortunately, it costs next to nothing to replace.
    Too many people miss the silver lining because they're expecting gold.
