Has anyone bought or have any experience with the Turkish 1911 clone from SDS that Classic Firearms is selling??? Seen their video, seems like a decent looking 1911. I know that you get what you pay for, but still, a 1911 for $339.00?

Do you have a link? Who is SDS, the manufacturer, or an importer?

The SDS is a Tisas. You would rather have a Colt.
For $339, they aren't bad. Basically on a par with the quality of the 1911s coming out of the Philippines. Certainly not a Colt, but they'll launch lead.
Thinking of another discussion that's in play on another site at the moment, they're "a good gun for the money."

Well, if they're on par with RIA's 1911 that says alot. I've owned a RIA Tactical in 45 auto and must say I liked it very much. I've owned over the years a dozen or more 1911's. Currently have a Colt 1911 Com. Chateau Thierry, Kimber Raptor, Kimber Custom Shop CDP. I really like the looks of the Tisas, the hammer forged barrel, Parkerizing, in general the apperance of a WW2 45 auto. For the money, I believe it would be a worthwhile addtion to one's 1911 collection.
These are a great gun and more on par with the $6-700 colt 70 series 1911's, It's the same model as mine except I paid $400 fit and finish are very good however I shoot low with It
