My first Randall, but serial number outside correct range?

I just purchased a nice Randall Combat with 5 factory mags. The serial number is RF09239C. The slide says "COMBAT" below ejection port. Is this one assembled after the factory closure? It appears the serial number is beyond the Combat numbers.

    Thank you in advance,

    Rob

From my notes, I'm afraid you're right - sounds like a gun put together after they closed.......

That's depressing. Teach me to do more research before jumping at something. Thank you
