Hello, I recently purchased a NM 1911a1 dated some time in the 60s. Judging by the sights and a few other things, i’ve Narrowed it to about 4 different years. Is there a way I can tell for sure what year it was refurbed by Springfield Armory? Thanks

If you intend to buy something from the companies advertising above, or near the bottom of our pages, please use their banners in our sites. Whatever you buy from them, using those banners, gives us a small commission, which helps us keep these sites alive. You still pay the normal price, our commission comes from their profit, so you have nothing to lose, while we have something to gain. Your help is appreciated. |

There is a chart on Coolgunsite.com
Go to the Gallery, click on a picture of a NM, look for the link to the chart on the page for that gun.
Looks to me like it would be hard to tell the difference between a 1963 and a 1965 or between a 1966 and 1967.
Hello and thank you for your advice. Yes, I have seen that page and it’s impossible to tell the differences between those years. The only thing, there is no serial number under the firing pin plate which leads me to believe possibly a 63 or 64

Never mind, it’s a 63
Micro sight or tall fixed?
