G10 grips for RIA Tac Ultra FS 45 ACP

Hello everyone! I'm somewhat new to owning a 1911 platform weapon. Fired them many times, jut someone elses. This is my first RIA handgun and am enjoying it, very pleased!
My question, has anyone changed the grips and used Advanced Tactical grips? I understand that they are the same company as RIA. Same address and all. I was told that the grips should be installed be a qualified gunsmith, due to minor adjustments ae needed. What are the minor adjustments? I would think that replacing G10 grips w/ G10 grips from the same company as the firearm manufacturer should be a no brainer!
I don't want to screw up the weapon or worse, have some malfunction happen!
Any help, advice is greatly appreciated!

I haven't used their grips but 1911 grips are not always 1911 grips. If you get low profile grips for a gun that did not come with them you will also need to be low profile bushings. Mag wells can also prevent some grips from fitting. If you look at their 1911 HC G10 Short there is a note that they require fitting for A2 guns as they are not drop in. For the prices listed I would be tempted to look at Coolhandgear. VZ seems to be similarly priced and has sales on occasion.

If it’ has a standard capacity gripframe, those grips should fit.

If it’s one of their high capacity pistols (13 rounds in 45acp, in a double stack mag), standard grips won’t fit it.
