    As Issued???

I have a Colt 1911A1 built b y Colt in 1944. everything is very tight and it shoots well. One question, the barrel and hammer are blued while thew rest of the pistol is parkerized. Would it have been issued like that??

Late WWII barrels were blued but not the hammers.
Some close up picture would help.

Anything with a FLGR is fluff, if JMB didn't put it on the 1911 you don't need it.

When the govt forced the change to Parkerizing they allowed the contractors to use up their blue small parts. The frame/slide had to be parkerized but the small parts could be a mixture. 1944 is a little late for that scenario.
