    1911 grip identification help

    I bought a used para Canada ssp last night and it has a set of beautiful double diamond grips with a spider in between the diamonds. they are blackish grey wood. inside the grips on both sides their are 3 letters stacked at an angle that says VGW but I can't find any info on them. anybody got any idea?9550522_02_para_ordnance_ssp_1911_640.jpg
