What do you all think of the "Victory Girls" model? (and do any of you own it?)

Personally I like the looks of it, though it would end up as a display/trophy type piece and not an everyday carry or frequent shooter.
I don't however like the listed price ($1091) as I think that kind of money (or slightly more) could land you a better quality 1911 (sig/dan wesson etc)

Would luv to hear others opinions/thoughts though.

Before you buy an Auto Ordnance you might want to check my posting on the Auto Ordnance forum. The title was Auto Ordnance 1911 BOKW issues. I will not buy another Auto Ordnance since mine was in the gunsmith's shop 5 times in the first 5 months before it began to function reliably.

Since you mentioned Sig, I do have one of their 1911's and consider the quality, workmanship, fit & finish, to be absolutely first rate. It's a recent acquisition (model 1911 XO B). I've only taken it to the range twice so far. My only challenging is becoming accustomed to the trigger, which (right out of the box) breaks at 3.65 pounds. That's lighter than the trigger pull on any of my other pistols.

Last week when I had to go to a bad neighborhood in a major city at night to help a relative out of a situation, it was one of my Colts that was on my hip; highly reliable, and the 4.71 pound trigger is more suitable for self defense IMO. It never left my holster, but I was glad to have it with me.

Like I said, I like the look of it, but I've always liked "nose art" etc...but like I also said, I sure wouldn't spend that kind of money on an AutoOrd 1911

I quite like aviation in general and warbirds in particular... but why on earth would you finish a machined part in such a way that it would look riveted..?
