    Gold cup trigger

Is anyone aware of any aftermarket short triggers for a Colt Gold cup?

New ones? No, unless there's something in Brownells I've missed.

King's Gun Works used to sell them, they've been out of business for a very long time now, but some of their parts are sold off by another company -- or three.

Does anyone make a long one without holes, that you could get machined-ground down?

This may be a dumb question, but i'll ask it anyway: What's the difference between "aftermarket short triggers for a Colt Gold cup" and standard (short) Government Model M1911A1 triggers (GI Issue or aftermarket)?

The Gold Cup trigger is wider. Colt's Gold Cup frames are cut differently inside the trigger guard, to make room for it.

I believe Dlask makes one, at least an ultra light one.

Wilson Combat makes two versions, one with and one without the holes. Don't know if either would satisfy your criteria for "short", but could perhaps be modified.

It looks like, at least through Brownells, Dlask is now only doing the medium length Gold Cup trigger (they used to do short medium and long).

EGW also makes them, but not sure if medium or long. Do not look short to me.
