Question How are the alloy framed P13-45s?

After shooting and carrying the steel frame P13-45 I bought earlier this year, it has become a real favorite and I plan to buy another (next year). I understand Para Ordnance also made an alloy version, but haven’t found any information about it.

Does anyone here have anything they can share?

This thread from the past year or so described cracks in P12's, not P13's, but it might help with your decision making process: https://forum.m1911.org/showthread.p...Para-P-12-help

Euripides started the thread and later skydave described a similar frame cracking problem. Euripides had an alloy frame, but I didn't see if skydave's was alloy. Over the years I have read a couple of other reports about this issue, but I don't know how common it is. I don't own a P-A alloy frame pistol, but I've never had a problem with a couple of Colts (38S and 45 commanders) and Wilson Combat (CCO style) alloy pistols.
Like you, I am very happy with my steel framed P12/13/14's.

I just saw an ad in Gunbroker for an alloy P13. No bids at present. $549.
