    Right Thread?

I am trying to learn to use this new computer, and am fighting a loosing battle. To make matters worse, I'm suffering from big time memory loss. Now for the question. I'm trying to thin out my collection of loading equipment, original boxed .45 ACP ammo., Gun parts etc. I'm trying to find out if there would be any collectors interest in the few 50 round boxes of ww2 .45 ball ammo, that I have? The boxes are as new, and are made by Olin Mathieson Chemical Corp., Winchester Repeating Arms Co., and Twin Cities Arsenal. If this the wrong place, or thread to find information on these boxes of ammo, please direct me to the right place. Any suggestions on this matter will be appreciated.

Nobody wants old ammo like that. Since it's the holiday season, I'll take it off your hands, and I'll even pay the shipping!

    You can thank me later.

[Just kiddling. Those boxes are worth more than I can afford to pay for them.]

He isn't currently showing any .45 ACP military ammo, but Joe Salter's web site may give you some guidance as to what your ammo is worth: https://www.joesalter.com/category/Collector-Ammunition

He had some boxes of .30 Carbine ammo at $70 per box of 50. That may be the right ballpark for .45 ACP in USGI packaging, but it might be worth a bit more or a bit less than the .30 Carbine ammo.

Here's some USGI boxed ammo for sale: https://www.gunauction.com/buy/13282333

Since you are eligible to use our Flea Market, I would encourage you to decide what you want for the boxed ammunition and post an ad in the Flea Market. It's free -- if it doesn't sell, you can always advertise it on one of the auction sites later, knowing that they charge a percentage or a fee if you sell.

Hawkmoon - you have told me exactly what I needed to know. It sure "Takes The Hide And Hair Off", of a person to get rid of their "Stuff", but, unless one wants to saddle his loved ones with the job, after you are gone, it's what you have to do. Using our Flea Market, makes good sense. Well, I better get started, as the job of sorting, prices, and pictures, will last the rest of my days. Thanks for your help.
