    Carry guns

The editor of Survival Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) magazine wrote an editorial for the magazine stating that he had settled on just two guns to carry, a 1911 and a Hi power. His reasoning is that the two guns function the same, as an example the thumb safety is the in the same place and works the same, the slide release is the same and the magazine release is in the same place. I found that the editorial was just additional justification for my long held position that my two carry guns are a 1911 and a Hi Power. And if I can conceal either then almost anyone can. Two great guns, the best guns for one to carry.
The bravest are surely those who have the clearest vision of what is before them, glory and danger alike, and yet notwithstanding, go out to meet it.

I agree. That's why a few years ago I sold/traded off all my non-1911, non-hi powers. You must be a very wise and knowledgeable person.

New In Box, yes, but the surplus market seems to remain saturated with used Hi Powers, Kareens, FM's and FEG's without any price increase. Several used FN Hi Powers sold on Gunbroker this week for less than $550 and there are still several remaining to be sold. The only price increases I have seen is the rush to buy NIB FN, raising the FN NIB selling price from $1200-ish to closer to $2000 and FEG's jumping from $300 to $400.

Secondary factor may be the release of the Tisas clone in the ~$500 price range as well

I am not an expert on carry or concealed carry, but the Hi-Power and the 1911 are my two favorite guns.

I have been carrying daily for over forty years and for the last eleven it has only been 1911’s. Don’t own a Hi-Power but wish I did.

Love 1911s, you all know that. But I also love High Powers! And CZ-75s.

I probably will stay with 1911s and my High Powers also. Great guns, reliable, accurate, easy to carry, so, what's to fix?
