I don't think there is a source out there for a Norinco 1911 A1 grip screw bushings. What's wrong with the existing bushings?

The grip screw will not tighten. The grip screw threads in fine but keeps spinning. The grip screw itself is not the issue.

I would try seating the bushing(s) with red or green Loctite. Let the Loctite set up before trying to reattach the stocks.

If Loctite won't do it, then you may have to replace the metric bushings with U.S. threaded bushings. If the standard ones are too small, Brownells sells oversized bushings (and a matching tap) for repairing pistols on which the standard bushing holes have been stripped out.

It occurs to me that I may have misinterpreted the problem. What's stripped, the screw threads in the bushing, or the threads in the grip frame where the bushing screws into the frame? My suggestion above addressed the latter problem.

If the problem is that the threads in the bushing are stripped, can you re-tap the hole to accept the next larger SAE or UNC American machine screw thread?

Same issue happened to one of my 1911s. The bushing's thread was stripped, I used Krazy Glue problem solved.
