    Identifying a Norinco 1911

    Hi all, I am trying to figure out which Norinco 1911 I have? I originally thought it was a 1911A1-Sport-B but according to Wikipedia it should have a ambi safety and front slide serrations. Anyone know these guns well enough to know? Maybe it's just a custom G.I.? Thanks!

    What you have is a standard Norinco 1911A1 GI whereby its sights, hammer, grip safety, slide stop, thumb safety, trigger, etc. have been replaced.

    Thanks Ric! It has an extended mag well also. I assume someone has put some time and $ into it.

    Yup, lots of "drop in" parts on a regular Norinco. We can hope they were all installed and fitted properly. Do the safeties work? Does it have a safe and crisp trigger pull?

    Does it zero? That rear sight looks pretty tall compared to the front.
