Which range ammo to stock up on?

I'm thinking as I'm getting older to reload less and just buy my range ammo.
I have used UMC, Winchester white box, Federal American Eagle, and Magtech.

My question is which 230 ball range ammo is the most accurate and cleanest?

I used mostly Winchester USA ("white box") before I began reloading, and I had no complaints. I have also used all of the others you named and I don't recall any problems with any of them. I can't remember when I last purchased any range ammo, though.

I supplement my brass collection with Herter's, WWB, or Winchester Military. All of those have been reasonably accurate.

I have used the above mentioned ammo in general as well as SIG, Browning, plus commercial reloads. They all seem to be fairly accurate based on my shooting skills (WARNING!!!! Not a professional shooter). IMO, I have found the Federal white box to be a bit dirtier. I do know that my 27 year old Para works well with 230 gr ammo. I have not tried any aluminum or steel cased ammo.
There isn't any problem that can't be handled thru the proper use of high explosives.

I had 3 failures in WWB at a class I attended in April this year, same box, same mag.

They did not fire in another gun after mine so it was the ammo. It isn't a lot nor is it uncommon to see Winchester practice ammo have a few duds with the local PD guys I shoot with as well.

Federal for me now when I buy factory ammo.

My range ammo is the same weight as my carry ammo, 185gr. All my range ammo are reloads and my carry ammo is factory. I do have a stash of factory range ammo and know it will be good for barter if needed. Just my 2 cents worth.
