    ATTN Reloaders

A reminder that M1911.org set out to create a database of bullet dimensions as an aid to determining starting loads for bullets for which you can't find published load data. Contrary to what some sources may suggest, not all bullets of the same weight are created equal, and the bullet dimensions may affect residual case volume if you load a different bullet to the same overall length as the data provided for a "brand name" bullet.

The thread where we have been collecting this data is https://forum.m1911.org/showthread.p...ns-Bullet-Data

If you reload, especially using a bullet that's not already listed, please help us continue the project by measuring your bullets and submitting the data. The forum software locked this thread automatically due to inactivity. I think I have been able to open it up again. If you have measurements to submit and can't post in the thread, please send it to me and to member Niemi24s by private message.

ALSO -- If you would be interested in seeing this project expanded to include data on 9mm and/or .40 S&W bullets, please let me and John know. If we see that there's sufficient interest, we'll probably set up a separate thread and spreadsheet for the other caliber(s).

    Thanks.

El Comandante is on the case. The thread has now been re-opened, so anyone who has new data to submit, please post it up.

And don't forget to let us know if there's interest in parallel threads to collect bullet data on 9mm and/or .40 S&W.
