    First Nighthawk

The Heinie Long Slide arrived today, I was at lunch when my preferred FFL called, they were going nuts over the thing and they are a bunch that are difficult to impress. Its understated but up close the workmanship of this piece just screams quality. Shipped with four 9 round magazines, the action is super tight, I didn't have a lot of time today but the 72 rounds I fired were flawless and save a few flyers still inside the black it was easy to completely blow out the center of the target at the 15 yard line. Its the lightest recoiling 10mm I've tried and its trigger is perfection and feels around the 3-3.5 lb range. Color me happy.

Congratulations! It's an impressive pistol. Did Nighthawk Custom mount your RMR? Which MOA option did you choose? I went back and forth before settling on the 6.5 option. Hundreds of rounds later, I'm still wondering if I would have been better off with a 3.25.

Yes, Nighthawk Customs mounted the RMR. I was very fortunate, I called to enquire about building a 10mm long slide specifically for hunting and woods carry. They had two 10mm long slides in reserve, one blued and this one. They had the gunsmith do a slide melt, add suppressor sights and sight it in in two days time. I’ve only shot it twice off hand out to 25 yards but it seems spot on with the 300 rounds I’ve fired. It’s a 3.25. I’ll bench rest itin the next few weeks out to 100 yards and adjust if needed. I love best handgun I’ve ever held and the trigger is phenomenal.
