    Colt Commander manufacture date

I have been to the Colt site as well as others for this info. I have a Colt Commander, .45 ACP, what appears to be factory nickel. Serial number is 3100XX- C.
I cannot find any serial number possibilities that match this pistol. Any help would be appreciated

Never saw a Commander with a -C serial number.
    310000 C looks like a 1967 Government Model
Full length pictures would be helpful.

Trying to get those pics now and verify the serial number. The pistol belongs to a friend.

    To Jim Watson:

I was able to clarify the info on the pistol with my friend. It is indeed a government model. There is no “ C “ at the end of the serial number. 1967 production.

I was acting on his original info. Thanks for your help.

I am confused. The picture you show in post 2 has a C suffix and dates to 1967.

The friend says it looks more like a parenthesis, [, than a C.
Sure looks like a C to me. Hopefully I will get to see it in person soon.

    Thanks

Here's a photo of a 1951 Commercial that I copied from a thread in the Collectors' Corner:

The 'C' looks pretty much the same to me.

    Here's another, a 1958:

I need to see my friend’s pistol. I really believe it is a “C” now. Thanks again
