    Hello from Arizona

    Hello fellow 1911 enthusiasts,

Haven't been a fan of the 1911 very long, but as an amateur machinist/hobbyist, I'm learning to really love the platform. I started several months ago with my first, a GSG 22 and soon after had two R1s in the collection. My most recent purchase was a RIA Baby Rock, though not a true 1911, it is something fun to tinker with. I eventually want to build one in either 10mm or .40, but that won't be for a while and only after I've researched the entire web of 1911 build info which could take years. Here's to hoping I can learn and add to the discussions.

Glad to have you join us, and welcome to the addiction. For some reason we always need to have just "one" more. The fire restrictions are sure hurting the amount of shooting we can do.
