I enjoyed this article very much and it couldn't have come at a better time as I am building my first 1911. Parts selection has been quite the education. and, while it may seem like a bit of a pitch, this discussion of extractors seemed to contain quite the lesson. And, yes, I do come away with the opinion to use Cylinder and Slide Extractors exclusively.

Sadly, I cannot comment on the technical details as this is my first real lesson. I do look forward to the thoughts and responses of this group.
