    I love this Metro Arms

Recently picked up a Metro Arms American Classic Shot great right out of the box Was butt ugly but we changed all that. Tuned it up to a full race (less Comp) Love this gun! Shoots better than any of my colts and kimbers. shoots 2" at 45 feet

I agree with the grips. My Metro Arms American Classic is a commander model. Bought it when Metro Arms showed up at a LGS. Its bluing is fine as far as I'm concerned. I hate the hammer which has the "MA" in it so I changed it to a Wilson Combat. I changed the grips to a VZ. I also got rid of the extended slide stop. Enjoy your American Classic.

My Government Model needed some upgrades too, so I put on some custom grips and painted a dot the front sight. Now it's awesomer.
