    Unhappy ROCK Ultra FS - 9mm 51623 / pleased-displeased

I really enjoy the gun and it shoots quite well.

I ordered some additional magazines since it only came with one. Everything you read about the gun, to include the Armscor web page, indicates it is a nine round gun and logic would follow that it takes a nine round magazine. I ordered a few nine rounders and was finally able to try them out after returning back in town. They seat but with difficulty. Since the FS has a flared mag well the nine round mag base plate is recessed quite a bit and therefore a little difficult to seat. While looking at the factory supplied mag I finally see it is a 10 round Mec-Gar. 10 witness holes on the side of the mag, labelled one through 10.

So I'm glad it holds ten but I wish they would properly state this on the web page. I ordered the new mags while out of town and relied on the Armscor web page to select the correct ones. Now I will have to pay to return the nine rounders and re-order and wait for the proper 10 round mags.

Are there two holes in the base of those 9 shot magazines? If so, you can get screw on pads that will let you seat them easily in the mag well funnel.

Thanks Jim. Unfortunately the purchased magazines are Mec-Gar with welded steel butt plates so I'm stuck with an adhesive type pad. I'm hoping Gunmagwarehouse will let me swap them out... when they get some more of the 10 round mags in stock

The folks at GunMagWarehouse were great. They refunded the cost of the 9 rounders as they were out of stock on the 10's. Was able to find a good price on soe 10 round Mec-Gar at Cheaper Than Dirt. Got them in today. Same model as what came with the gun
