Thread: ATI Beavertail grip safety

    It is the frame but also the main spring housing.

    Did you buy a commander style hammer or do you intend to bob the existing hammer? Changing to a new hammer will bring all sorts of other entertainment your way.

    Once again, please do not file the frame. I am certain you have done this but fully detail strip your pistol, removing the grips, trigger, and ignition components. Then fit the grip safety to the frame filing only the grip safety if any fitting is required. Watch out for the grip safety's tang rubbing on the frame. Only file a little bit where you see contact then test the fit. Slow going is the way to success.

    Once the safety fits the frame, move on to fitting the interface of the safety to the mainspring housing, again with only the safety and housing involved in the fitting.
