The first Rock Island I had, had a trigger of about 1.5lbs if I recall. It either followed or I double-tapped it accidentally. I'd come from heavy DA/SA pulls of 9mm service pistols and I just wasn't ready for the light pull combined with more stout recoil.

The hammer hooks didn't look right, and I was planning on replacing the hammer anyway, so I didn't send it back. That first trigger job, though, I made about 7lb to 8lb. Took me a while to appreciate the trigger. Now it's fun to tinker to see how light I can get without follow.

    I digress.

The only thing I've really found wanting with regard to today's Armscor products are the magazines. They go directly to the range-only box.

My first 1911 was a Charles Daly Armscor, and that thing was a basket case beyond repair. But it was good to learn the finer points of 1911 operation for that reason.

    Regards,

    Josh

You won't find magazines for the Baby Rock at the corner pub, unfortunately. Fortunately, the Baby Rock magazines are made by Metalform, so they should be decent magazines.
