    Icon17 New Coonan 1911

    So I finally got my new Coonan 1911 in .45 ACP

    I have taken it to the range and it is a dream to shoot. I also have an order in for the new 10mm which will be here in about four months.

    So far this is my gang:

    They showed one .45 that was just a 1911 with Coonan styling, but this looks like the Real Thing.
    Is it Coonan all the way through? I see the external extractor and trigger pivot pin. Is the lockup like the .357?

    Are you seeing the name "COONAN" on the side of the slide??? I never heard of less then a thorough Coonan!! The Coonan frames are not the same as a 1911, they are beefier! They have to be considering the 1911 is made for 21,000 pressure versus 34,000 pressure for the .357. When they made the .45 ACP they still used the heavier frame design.

    And yes they are all Coonan!!!!!
