    Rock River 1911s

Until I came across this forum I didn't realize that RRA makes a 1911. I've had a RRA AR for a few years now which is an excellent weapon but had no clue they made 1911s. Most of the threads are pretty old so I'd be curious to know what current owners think of them in terms of performance and quality. Are they worth the price or would you recommend another manufacturer at that price? Or a lower price manufacturer with same quality and performance?
Like someone's grandpa used to say "I can sit here quietly and let everyone think I'm stupid, or I can say something and confirm it for them."

I think Rock River actually got started making 1911 types and added ARs later. Then they quit making 1911s in favor of the simpler and more profitable AR.
They have put pistols back in the catalog but there don't seem to be many actually for sale. I cannot find a sale listing for the cheap polymer pistol.

Early days, my gunsmith thought they were good quality and wanted to build a gun on their parts, but they dropped the pistols and parts before he could line up a customer. Don't know about the present stuff.
