White House Petition: National Conceal Carry Reciprocity

We the people ask the federal government to Call on Congress to act on an issue:
National Reciprocity for the Nation's 17 Million Concealed Handgun Permit Holders!
    Created by P.V. on July 18, 2017
    Sign This Petition

Needs 94,449 signatures by August 17, 2017 to get a response from the White House
    5,551 signed
    100,000 goal

Mr. President, you have said many times that you would sign a national concealed carry reciprocity bill. Please urge Congress to pass H.R. 38 as soon as possible!

H.R. 38 will allow America's 17 million concealed handgun permit holders to carry in every state in the Union as they go about their lives. As the recent shooting in Alexandria shows, crime and terrorism have no borders. Neither should self-defense!

No other group is as law-abiding as concealed handgun permit holders, regardless of which state they are from.

Currently over 20 states, such as Virginia, North Carolina, and Arizona, already honor permits from all other states, without issue. H.R. 38 will simply make such recognition uniform across the nation and will save many innocent American lives!

DONE - I'm sick of the Second Amendment being a second class right - why can't they understand that it's as NON-NEGOTIABLE and unrepealable as all the others.
Where I live the county legislature leaves it up to the police commissioner to decide WHO gets a permit to carry a concealed handgun for self defense. THE POLICE COMMISSIONER DECIDES THAT ONLY HIS ACTIVE AND RETIRED POLICE OFFICERS CAN CARRY A HANDGUN FOR SELF DEFENSE! So in the land of the free - where we ALL have the EQUAL constitutional right to keep AND BEAR arms - we end up living under the same law as in the Soviet Union, Red China, and Nazi Germany - WHERE ONLY GOVERNMENT ENFORCEMENT AGENTS ARE ARMED!

Writing to your Representative, to Speaker Paul Ryan, and to other influential Republican members of the House would be more effective than an on-line petition. Go to www.us.gov and click the link to contact elected officials.

Hawkmoon is absolutely correct about writing to House Speaker Paul Ryan, and Representatives from one 's home state. Sadly a liberal progessive state like New Jersey will challenege this as New Jersey, does not honor other states Right To carry or reciprocity.
Extremely anti gun here and have been. There are some Republican reps, they are being targeted by the opposition for election, all the Democratic Reps from NJ are anti gun as are the two NJ Senators. Writing directly to the Representatives is better than a petition. If this does pass, don't know how anti gun statews like, NJ, NY, CT, MA, CA, will be with this. Will states still be able to not honor a RTC permit from another state if this the National Reciprocity Law gets passed? This is does become law, I know NJ won't honor any permits. Our incoming Governor, Phil Murphy is very anti gun, as are many NJ legislators who have been.

It will be a 2A case the US SC can't ignore. It could be the straw that breaks the union if the SC sides with the law vs the vagabond states
