    Remington Company and there 1911's

Hi was wondering why there is not a Category in the Manufacturer section for Remington specifically there 1911's ,while I own quite a variety of 1911 manufacturers everything from RIA all up to Wilson Combat and in between and love them all as they all have there qualities, I really enjoy the Remington 1911's as well, not sure if this is the correct section to post this Or not. Was just Curious thanks.

This is the right place for your question.

As for an answer, we've been waiting to see if Remington would get a good following, to justify having its own section. And as a general rule of thumb, we're reluctant to introduce new forum sections, because a lot of existing sections are slow in traffic, and thinning out the forum even more doesn't seem like the way to go.

Lately Remington has been announcing new models, including some 'refugee' doublestacks from the now-closed ParaUSA brand (sigh), so we'll see how much interest they gather. Actually it would be interesting to see the interest in this thread, too...
Too many people miss the silver lining because they're expecting gold.

As announced in the Site Announcements area, John has now created a discussion area for new, commercial Remington 1911s. This discussion area is only for current manufacture, commercial Remingtons. It is not for Remington-Rand military M1911A1s, nor is it for Remington UMC M1911s.
