Thread: 45 Auto vs 45 Auto Rim brass?

    Except for the rim thickness. The Autorim has a thick rim, to compensate for the absence of the moon clip.

    SAAMI lists specifications for the .45 Autorim. Rim thickness for .45 Colt (and many other, standard, rimmed cartridges) is .060 inches. The .45 Autorim calls for a rim thickness of .089 inches.
