    I believe that my Baer and Wilson 1911’s have 9mm/38 Super sized firing pins, which have less weight/mass than standard 45acp firing pins, for the same reason. Both now offer titanium firing pins, as well.

    It is only the narrow tip of the firing pin that is smaller with the 9mm/38 Super pins. The remaining bulk of the two firing pins, excluding the tip, are the same.

    The difference in mass is insignificant.

    Many gun makers seem to be standardizing their firing pins to the smaller 9mm/38 Super pins for all their calibers. Springfield has their own intermediate sized pin.

    I think you could also wait for a Kimber limited edition 10mm like the Camp Guard 10mm or the Gun Talk 10mm. Every so often, Kimber releases a 10mm with no Swartz safety.
