Cool Just a quick thank you...

I have been looking for basic information about my new-to-me Colt GM Series 80, Stainless, made in 1987...and found what I wanted to know here in about a minute.
IF you are a 1911 owner, or have questions or interests in these pistols, there is no better place. Thanks Comandante and regulars, once again.
FWIW I'm going to be 70 this summer and my "new" Colt will be my go-to pistol until I go out for good.

    Mark.

I hope you have it as a go-to and companion for many - many - many years to come in good health and happiness.

I'm a Little late but hope your Clot serves you for many years. Just a quick warning on the fingers on your barrel bushing. You might consider having a traditional barrel bushing fitted.

Well Mark, only one??? One of the reasons I like to carry Colts is because they shoot out of the box and are dependable. Have you tried the 38 Super yet???

Just seen this thread, very nice thing to read as nowadays people seem to have forgotten how to say thank you.

    Best regards!
Originality can't be restored, so put "originality" at the top of a priority list. If JMB didn't put it on the 1911 you don't need it.
