So, when all the costs are added up for a P10 receiver, all the small parts that were mentioned by Hawkmoon, new magazine(s), possible work on the P12 slide for mating with the new P10 frame, etc, then it's probably less expensive to find a new/used P12 on a gun auction site or at a gunshow.

They answer to Para, but never mind. I thought of TIG, too, and will ask my gunsmith tomorrow. I didn't know they made a steel P-12 frame, if I could find one it would be OK with me. Actually, if I was better at 3D modeling, I would make one from sintered steel for my self. There are companies here that 3D steel parts. As a last resort, since the upper is essentially an Officer upper, I would put it on an Officer lower.

If you are willing to convert to a single stack, and your gunsmith can't do the TIG repair, then I suggest Caspian. They make Officers ACP size frames in both steel and alloy, and you can order a frame with the Series 80 cut and properly cut for a Para ramped barrel. But the TIG weld should be easy to do unless the crack is so severe that the frame has deformed.

Good luck, and let us know what the gunsmith says.

Spoke to the gunsmith yesterday; the frame cracked horizontally from behind the take down hole back. I always had a question about the opening ahead of the take down hole as part of the mfg process. Anbyway, he says he will try to TIG it in about two weeks. He is very busy.

I share euripides' pain. I found a crack in my P-12 (Canadian model) today. It's on the right side, in the rail, just above the back edge of the grip panel.
I don't know if I can shoot this, or not.

I would not shoot it. I would have it TIG welded.
