    Dan Wesson A2 Commander

I picked up a Dan Wesson A2 Commander last Friday. That is one tight pistol. Tight enough that it was hard to rack the slide at first. I put 85 rounds through it on Saturday and it became much easier, but it's still a very tight gun. The gun performed flawlessly and it's one of the most accurate guns I own. I've been going though it and am very impressed with how well it's put together. One thing I noticed was that the slide release already has the mod done to it to reduce the likelihood of making an idiot mark on the frame. That's the first time I've seen that done on a production gun. These are all supposed to be completely hand fit per the DW website and from what I can see, that's probably accurate.

Since the DW photo thread is closed, I'll post a couple of shots of it here.

Well, I copied this post and pasted it in the DW photo thread, which has the added effect of unlocking it (threads get locked when there are no new threads for a very long time). Nice pistol!
Too many people miss the silver lining because they're expecting gold.

Thanks Spyros, I appreciate the assist there. I'll post a pic of the Heritage there too.

Are these going to be a limited production item?
