Icon16 Taurus PT1911 9mm in USPSA Single Stack

Well, I bought a lightly used Taurus PT1911 9mm ($600 in stainless steel) in order to start my journey into USPSA competition in the Single Stack division and minor power factor. My gun performed flawlessly for my first season (no FTFs or FTEs). I will say that I used GECO 9mm ammo that I purchased on sale at $.20 per round (love that stuff). After my first season, I am going to go through my gun thoroughly and polish surfaces and clean up any burrs, high spots, etc. I am going to purchase a lightly used PT1911 45ACP in stainless steel in order to compete in Single Stack major power factor. I anticipate that the guns will be similar in performance and without problem. I have purchased Sellier & Bellot 45ACP 230gr FMJs for it and we'll see how that goes. Wish me double alphas!

Good luck! And welcome to the forum.
Too many people miss the silver lining because they're expecting gold.
