AO PKZSE descent pistol, lousy customer service
I got it through the NRA instructor program, $360 shipped to my ffl. I think it's a good value for the money. I'll probably swap out the plastic trigger and AO grips with GI pieces, and just shoot it. The mag looked pretty cheesy, and it looked like it had been used as a test mag, as it was badly scratched where the mag catch had been riding on it, and the feed lips were pretty worn. All in all I'm happy with the pistol.
Customer service at Kahr Arms however was the worst CS experience I can remember enduring. It took 17 weeks for them to finally deliver the pistol, during which time I had been ignored, given excuses, and insulted. I didn't even know the pistol even shipped until my ffl called telling me I had a gun to pick up. 4 to 6 weeks was the time frame I was quoted. I would have been ok with that had CS been descent about it. If I were to do it again, I would go with RIA. I think RIA has an edge on quality and their customer service has AO beat hands down. I'm not sure how AO pricing compares with RIA without the NRA discount, and frankly, I don't care. I can't imaging how much cheaper AO would have to be than RIA for me to even consider going through their again. I can safely say that I have dealt with Kahr Arms for the last time.
If anyone from Kahr Arms in a managerial role sees this and asks, I'll be more than happy to send them the email I have.
There are few gun-related problems that can't be made worse with a Dremel tool.
