Cool My experience with newer Charter Arms revolvers...I own 2 of them...

Some years ago I bought a new Charter Arms Off Duty revolver, an alloy framed .38 Spl 5 shot revolver with A 2" barrel and concealed hammer...DAO. I cleaned the grease out of it and dry fired it for a while, then took it to my gun club's handgun range and was amazed at how well it shot...

This is not a pretty hand gun - I have Smiths and old Colts for that - but it has proved very easy to conceal and carry, very accurate and 100% reliable, and still inexpensive. I carry mine in a pocket holster in jeans with a t shirt untucked over it. I recommend ONLY those Charter Arms revolvers made under the current ownership...they have the one piece cast front sight/ejector rod shroud/barrel, cut rifling, and are stamped Shelton Conn on the barrel's right side.
These are the NEW re design by the original owner, and all the defects and problems of the old ones have been cleared up. I often carry either this revolver or my other CA, also new version, a .44 Bulldog. This is a 5 shot .44 Special revolver with a 2 1/2" barrel, and the same improvements as their .38 Special revolvers. It is also a light to carry reliable and accurate revolver, and I carry it in a pocket holster as well, or in a coat pocket in the cold months. Mine is a matte black finish, and again, not pretty...it just shoots.

IF you like small revolvers for a reliable carry arm, I recommend these and the other Charter Arms revolvers, the NEW versions, since about 2010 or so...My Smiths stay home, my Charters go along for the ride.
I am not selling them or connected with Charter or any gun seller.

Bought my 3" Bulldog back in 1981 and it still is my favorite carry piece. Wife carries a MagPug and daughter carries a .38 Undercover. Nothing wrong with Charters.
