    Firing pin trouble

I have a Wilson cqb, I broke it down for the first clean. Took the firing pin and extractor out. So the firing pin goes in most of the way and then just stops. I am familiar with 1911's, I have another one that doesn't do this. Any ideas?

The nose of the pin isn't finding the hole in the breach face. Just let it back out a little and keep trying, you'll get it.

Had that happen before. As ncviking stated, sounds like you're just missing the hole.

Make sure the spring is the right way forward.

And, for completeness, you may notice the spring has a small end and a large end. The small end will be tighter on the rear of the firing pin. So, the small end is closest to the hammer. That said, sometimes a pin might need a bit of a wiggle when inserting it into the tunnel.
