The original Firestorm 1911s - any special ?

I bought my first Firestorm 1911 largely because of all the positive hype about them on the Bersa board, and also based on some very solid reviews I read. Now I have three of them - all the Deluxe model..

Based on what you experts have seen since the Firestorm rollmark was replaced with American Classic, and with some of the other 1911s in a similar price range, were the Firestorm 1911s anything special, or have I just been so intrigued with them because a Firestorm was my first 1911? Thanks in advance for your guidance!

Where were your Firestorm pistols made? The original Fireatorms were made in Spain, by Llama (which is now defunct), and were only about 90% parts compatible with true 1911s. It's highly unlikely that anyone on a Bersa forum (or any other forum) had much good to say about them, because they were made during the period when the Llama factory was having severe cash flow and quality control issues.

Sorry for the confusion - my Firestorm 1911s were made in the Philippines, imported by Eagle Imports - the Firestorms that became American Classic in the second year.

All made for Eagle by Metro Arms. Same pistols as the American Classics.
