Hard Chrome Norinco 1911 - value?

I'm intrigued with a Norinco 1911 Hard Chrome I see listed on GB - what'd be a reasonable price?

LOL, I see them for sale, new, in Canada for $379 . . .

If it sold at that price then the seller is all smiles... or should be. That's an awfully high price.

I wasn't able to find any that had been sold on GB, and the only other ones I found for sale were in Canada - looks like they are a pretty rare gun in the US . . .

In the U.S. considering what a NIB or excellent condition Norinco can bring, The HC model price doesn't surprise me. To get around the import ban, maybe Norinco will build a plant here like the new Kalashnikov plant in Florida.

2-3 years ago I found what I assume is a nickle plated (could be hard chrome but I don't know how to tell) Norinco for $400 used and snapped it up. Shoots to point of aim (when you can see the tiny front sight) and has a single Norinco medallion in the LEFT grip, of all places.

Photo is in post #14 on this page: http://forum.m1911.org/showthread.ph...-1911-45/page2
