Hello,
Recently purchased a Browning 1911-22 rimfire 1911 and after firing a few hunfred rounds decided to field strip and clean it. Upon reassembly I noticed that the fit between the barrel and the barrel bushing is much looser than other 1911 style guns that I have. Is this loose fit common on this model gun? I'll be grateful for all replies.

I can't answer on the Browning but I had the same problem with a GSG conversion. I called EGW and they made a custom bushing for about $30, made a great improvement in accuracy, also nice people to deal with.

Keep i mind that the barrel isn't as free to move with the rimfires. It doesn't link down, and it doesn't have to seset its relationship to the slide for each shot. The barrel is basically fixed to the frame. As long as the slide-to-frame fit isn't overly sloppy, the barrel-to-bushing fit perhaps isn't all that important.
