New LW CMD joins the family

I finally found a SR1911CMD-LW a couple months ago. It joins the Ruger CMD family of my first one I got back in Jan. 2013 and the Night Watchman I got in Feb. of this year.

The original CMD is the old guy with over 4K rounds through it now. I did put some new grips on it I ordered from Ruger as these are becoming very popular at ranges and I wanted to be able to identify mine easily.

The new light weight is impressive. I was surprised Ruger grooved the front of the frame. Also the thin grips are interesting. When I got the pistol it was very dry when I field stripped, cleaned, and lubed it after getting it home and before firing it. I did get a fairly good pictue of the Titanium insert in the feed ramp.

Anyway, so far I am impressed with this guy.

Nice! I fondled one at my local fun store recently, and decided that it's on my list, for sure.

I've had mine a few months and it's been perfect. Congratulations on your purchase.

Thanks for the pics and info. Best of luck and be sure to post a range report.
